Command Science Secondary School Lafia over the years has become a household name within this State and its environs and we give kudos to you all for your patronage. We are doggedly committed to high quality service delivery and customer satisfaction and this we have sustained for over 6 years in the educational industry.

The School Commandant Lt. Col E.E Maisamari an erudite officer of the Nigeria Army Education Corps’ have this to say to his Graduands, “My Dearest Graduands, this is the stage you need to know who you are and discover yourselves. Remember most great men discovered themselves at a very tender age as every great achievement starts with a dream. Bill Clinton in his youthful days had a dream of becoming the president of the United States of America and with hard work, determination, perseverance, he lived his dream. However, as you go on in life, do not lean on your own understanding alone, also trust in the Lord and you will accomplish your goal….”

The Governor’s remark during the  Fourth Speech & Prize Giving Ceremony, Launching of School Magazine and graduation of first set of students of Command Science Secondary School Lafia is stated bellow.

I am delighted to be here today on this historic event of Command Science Secondary School Lafia (CSSSL) speech and prize giving, graduation of pioneer students and launching of maiden school magazine. The school was established on 17th September, 2016 with a total of 150 students but today, 161 students are graduating after writing their WAEC and NECO SSCE. I wish to thank the good people of Nasarawa state for rallying around to see to the growth of CSSSL. The school management and staff focused which is an evidence why we are here to witness the maiden graduation of our student. It gladdens my heart to inform you that the school has remained committed and steadfast in its drive to maintain the Nigeria Army Education Corps’ vision which is “to have a NAEC that is professionally repositioned to discharge its responsibilities in support of the Nigeria Army” and to ensure academic excellence. Today, is the first graduation of your students and launching of the maiden school magazine “The Future Scientist” is a good achievement and encouragement to intended students who are seeking Admission into the school to maintain the tempo.

For the past six years, the academic standard has not been compromised, the students were also made to learn outside the classroom through excursion and extra-curricular activities. This made them to be more innovative as attempts are already made to make inventions. This indicates that the school will certainly not be like the other nominal science schools across the country. Therefore, I am calling on stakeholders, parents, organizations and individuals to partner with us in order to achieve the goals of the school.

In conclusion, let me use this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to His excellency the President and Commander-in-chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari for his encouragement and continuous support to the Nigerian Army and the effort towards cubing the menace insecurity in the Country. Thank you.

Some of the dignitaries present during the occasion are  His Excellency, Senator Alh Umaru Tanko Al-Makura. His Excellency, Alh Abdullahi A. Sule, Maj Gen KN Garba, AHO Garrison, Her Excellency, Hajiya Silifat  Abdullahi  A. Sule, Giwan Mata, HRH Alh. Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah Andoma and HRH  Hon. Justice Muhammad Sidi Dauda Bage 1  (Rtd) , Emir of Lafia, among others.
