The Commandant of the Defence Intelligence College (DIC), Commodore Usman Mainasara Bugaje, has extended warm Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 goodwill messages to all officers, soldiers, and civilian staff of the College, wishing them joy, peace, laughter, and renewed hope throughout the festive season and beyond.

In his message, the Commandant expressed deep appreciation for the dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices of personnel in advancing the mission of the Defence Intelligence College and supporting Nigeria’s national security objectives. He encouraged all to use the holiday period for rest, reflection, and strengthening bonds with family and loved ones, while remaining committed to service in the coming year.

Commodore Bugaje recently assumed command as Commandant of the Defence Intelligence College, taking over from Rear Admiral P. E. Effah. A highly experienced senior officer, he brings to the role a wealth of leadership and operational exposure, having previously led key military training institutions, including serving as the last Commandant of the defunct Nigerian Navy Finance and Logistics College (NNFLC), Owerrinta, and as the pioneer Commandant of the Nigerian Navy Logistics College, Dawakin Tofa, Kano.
He has pledged to sustain an inclusive and professional command environment, anchored on his trademark open-door leadership style, teamwork, and excellence in intelligence training and capacity development.
As the Defence Intelligence College ushers in the new year, Commodore Bugaje reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening professionalism, strategic thinking, and intelligence excellence in support of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and national security imperatives.
