NMS Commandant Award and Dinner Night hosted in honor of Passing Out Boys.

Major General MM Bunza has charged the Passing Out Boys of the Nigerian Military School to justify their confidence reposed. He gave this charge while making his remarks during the 2022 Commandant Award and Dinner Night held on 30 Aug 22 at Ogundeko Hall, Nigerian Military School Zaria.
Gen Bunza urged them to remain disciplined and committed in their academics for this will make them fly higher in their future career. He emphasised that for the Boys to be very successful, they must follow those who have excelled at the prestigious Nigerian Military School (NMS). He reiterated the need for the Boys to work hard and reciprocate the gesture in their future endeavors.
He thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya for his continuous support to the Nigerian Military School. He finally congratulated the Commandant and all the NMS family for making the dinner night a reality.
As part of the activities lined up for the 64th Passing Out Parade of NMS Boys, a one of a kind and memorable Commandant Award and Dinner Night was hosted to honor the Passing Out Boys.
Earlier while making his welcome address, the Commandant NMS, Brig Gen Jonathan Aun disclosed that the Comdt Award and Dinner Night afforded the opportunity for him and his Staff to dine and wine with the Boys for the last time before their passing out. He noted that NMS is a big family united in the mission of producing disciplined, patriotic and knowledgeable Boys for enlistment into the Nigerian Army. He maintained that the school had achieved beyond the ideals of the founding fathers which was to provide a middle level manpower for the Nigerian Army at the attainment of independence.
The Commandant Nigerian Military School expressed his profound gratitude to the COAS for his uncommon interventions in the school with legendary projects designed to facilitate training and welfare of the Boys as it has changed the tone of the school and has given it a new facelift. He further appreciated the Special Guest of Honour, Maj Gen MM Bunza and other invited dignitaries for honoring his invitation.
The Commandant Award and Dinner Night was remarkably colourful as it was graced by the Commandant Depot NA Maj Gen PP Malla, the Chief of Administration Army who was represented by the Comdt Army School of Physical Training Brig Gen AR Bello, the Comdt Nigerian Army School of Military Police Brig Gen MO Erebulu, the Comdt Nigerian Army School of Legal Service who was represented by Lt Col Bakare, the Comdt Naval Military School, Commander AA Yabo, the Coordinator NAOWA Zaria Chapter, Senior Officers and other invited guests.
High points of the event were the presentation of awards and prizes to Best Soldiers, the exhibition of Souvenirs to guests, a cultural display by Boys and a symbolic dinner buffet.
